Atleo To Pursue Treaties

The new national chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Shawn Atleo, attended the powwow in Carry The Kettle First Nation last night.

Carry the Kettle Chief Barry Kennedy invited Chief Atleo to experience the treaty culture.

Chief Atleo said he was honoured to have been there and he says the treaties are his first priority when he gets to Ottawa.

Chief Atleo is going back home to British Columbia today for a visit before heading to Ottawa.
