Arrest Made In Pelican Narrows Homicide

The RCMP have arrested a 37-year-old man from Pelican Narrows in connection to the homicide in the community this past weekend.

The unidentified suspect has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.

40-year-old Alvin Morin was found dead in a local residence at around noon Saturday, while a 28-year-old woman was found with serious injuries.

The RCMP say the last they’ve heard on the woman’s condition is that her injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

The suspect is making his first court appearance today.
