A recruitment drive is underway for Aboriginal army cadets in Prince Albert.

Lieutenant Kevin Seeseequasis of the Canadian Army Cadets says they are hoping to enlist as many as 40 new recruits between now and September 14th.

Seeseequasis says those youth entering the corps can expect to be involved in activities like hiking, orienteering and disciplinary training.

He says anyone aged 12 to 18 is eligible to join and the benefits are plentiful.

Seeseequasis adds the recent mission in Afghanistan by the Canadian military seems to be capturing the interest of young cadets.

He says a special recruitment night will take place at the armouries on September 13th, beginning at 6:30 pm.
