A fourth individual has announced his intention to seek the Saskatchewan Party nomination in the upcoming provincial by-election in northern Saskatchewan.

Chris Hudyma lives in the Wapiti Valley area, but previously worked and resided in the La Ronge area during his time as an employee with the Department of Culture, Youth and Recreation, and with Northern Municipal Services.

He’s now an independent consultant, and says he still helps northern communities with grant applications.

Hudyma feels he’s in a position to not only pass along northern ideas and issues to government officials in Regina, but also familiarize northern people with government programs and services.

Hudyma’s competition for the SaskParty nomination includes La Ronge mayor Joe Hordyski, former Cumberland House mayor Dale McAuley and former MBC announcer Mike Durocher.
