Ahtahkakoop Band Members Head To The Polls

The Ahtahkakoop First Nation is holding a chief and council election today.

Two people are running for chief — incumbent Larry Ahenakew and challenger Glen Bird.

Band officials say 51 people are running for band council.

There are 11 seats on council available.
