Ahenakew Elected To Replace Vermette On NLSD Board

The Northern Lights School Division has released the results of its recent election for a new board member.

According to a release, Larry G. Ahenakew won the contest with 226 votes.

Eric Hamm finished in second place with 181 votes.

Art Kustiak and Julie Androsin came in 3rd and 4th, respectively.

A total of 464 people voted.

The election was held to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Doyle Vermette, who resigned after successfully running for provincial politics in a June by-election.
