Action Plan Front and Centre at Dene Gathering

Delegates attending the Dene Gathering in Dillon this week are hoping to develop an action plan on Denesuline self-government and land claims today.

This is the 3rd full day of talks at the week-long event, which has drawn hundreds of Dene people from across western Canada.

Dene leaders, elders and youth will all be a part of today’s discussion.

Those present will also be given an update on a United Nations address regarding Dene issues and the latest on the Catarat/Sylvestre hunting court case being fought by the host Buffalo River Dene Nation.
