A preliminary hearing will continue today in Prince Albert for a woman charged with killing a 22-year-old man in Pelican Narrows this past January.

20-year-old Joanna Laurel Linklater was originally tried in Pelican Narrows, but the case was moved to P.A. due to a number of procedural reasons.

She faces three counts of assault in addition to the single charge of second-degree murder.

Her common law partner, Joseph Merasty, was discovered bleeding from stab wounds on the Peter Ballantyne reserve in Pelican Narrows before being taken to hospital in Flin Flon, where he later died.
