A new project is being launched in Saskatchewan commemorating 100 years of Aboriginal women.

The Saskatchewan Aboriginal Women’s Circle Corporation is paying tribute to 100 Native women who have made an impact in their communities and/or the province during the past century.

Nominations are currently being accepted.

Project Coordinator Leanne Bellegarde says the book will highlight women who have made an effort to contribute to the strength and survival of the Aboriginal people.

Bellegarde says the book should be completed and released early in 2006.
