Aboriginal people in Saskatchewan now have more opportunities to learn nursing skills.

SIAST and the Kawacatoose First Nation have been providing nursing education programs to First Nations communities in the province for the last three years.

Today, they are announcing that the agreement has been extended to ten years.

SIAST spokesperson Lynda Kushnir Pekrul says the new agreement allows SIAST to provide additional programs such as pre-nursing and diabetes education.

The signing of the new agreement is being held today on the Kawacatoose reserve.
