Aboriginal Artists Nominated For National Awards

Saskatchewan stands to be well represented this year at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards.

 

A total of 9 performers from our province have been nominated in the awards showcase which takes place November 25th.

 

Some of them include Beauval’s Just the Boyz for Best Country Album.

 

Prince Albert’s Donny Parentau is nominated for Best Producer.

 

The Big River Cree Drummers are up for Best Drum Album.

 

Saskatoon’s John Arcand will battle it out for Best Fiddle Album.

 

Hip-hop artist Eekwol, has been nominated for Best Rap Album. She hails originally from the Muscoday First Nation.

 

The awards will be handed out in Toronto.

 

This is the seventh time they have been presented.
