Woman Charged in Fatal Accident in Onion Lake

The RCMP has charged a 46-year-old woman from Marshall in connection to the fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident in Onion Lake over the weekend.

The unidentified woman faces a charge of impaired driving causing death and driving while over the legal blood alcohol level.

Her name will be released when she makes her next court appearance on December 3rd in Lloydminster.

On Sunday evening, a pickup truck struck two pedestrians near the Onion Lake reserve school.

The accident claimed the life of 18-year-old Donovan Chief.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
