Vehicle Rollover Claims Life on Big River

A 22 year old man is dead after a single vehicle roll-over last night on the Big River First Nation.

Seven other occupants of the car sustained injuries and were sent to both Spiritwood and Saskatoon hospitals for treatment.

The extent of their injuries is still unknown.

The accident happened shortly after 7:30 pm.

RCMP spokesman Corporal Brian Jones says it’s still unclear as to how the accident happened.

The Big River First Nation High School has cancelled graduation ceremonies for this evening due to the accident and is offering grief counselling for any children who need it.

No names will be released until next of kin have been notified.

Investigations into the accident continue.
