An off-reserve member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation says a tent erected in front of the Prince Albert band office will stay up until someone listens to his concerns.

Donald Morin is protesting what he says is a lack of housing for urban members and a failure by administration to listen to their concerns.

Furthermore, he wants a co-operative housing system brought into being, and an agency to help financially-strapped members find a place to stay.

Morin says the issue has been left unchecked for too long and promises he’s not going to stop pressing the band about it.

Morin also wants more revenue from a newly-created tobacco store on the reserve to come to the off-reserve membership.

Officials with Peter Ballantyne say they can’t comment until they talk to a lawyer.
