Two Men Die in Lac La Ronge Boating Accident

Two Saskatoon men are dead after a weekend boating accident on Lac La Ronge.

RCMP spokesperson Heather Russell says the bodies of 36 year old Shaun Ashmead and 50 year old Raye Low were recovered Saturday near McGibbon Bay after local residents spotted their capsized boat.

One body was still with the boat while the other was found nearby.

RCMP report it was windy at the time the two set out at about 5pm Friday evening.

The cause of death has yet to be determined.

An investigation into the accident continues.
