Trudy Charles back in court

The woman accussed of assaulting a young child is scheduled to make another court appearance in Prince Albert today (Tuesday).

 

21 year-old Trudy Charles stands charged with the aggravated assault of a 20-month old infant in

the fall of last year.

 

The incident has resulted in the review of the

Montreal Lake Child and Family Services agency, as the baby was released from foster care before the beating occurred.

 

The child survived the attack but suffered severe brain damage and is currently in a long-term care facility.

 

Judge Stephen Carter will decide whether enough evidence exists to send Charles to trial.
