The RCMP has now charged three young people in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man in Grandmother’s Bay over the weekend.

Two youths, aged 15 and 16, were initially detained by police following the death of 24-year-old Michael C. Ballantyne, whose body was discovered on a street in the community Saturday afternoon.

Yesterday, the Mounties arrested a 19-year-old man.

The three suspects are apparently brothers.

All three face charges of second-degree murder and appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court today.

The accused and the victim all lived in Grandmother’s Bay.
