Teenaged Murder Suspects Make Court Appearance

Two teenage boys accused of murdering a man in Grandmother’s Bay earlier this summer made an appearance in a La Ronge courtroom yesterday.

 

The boys, aged 15 and 16, are charged with second degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Michael C. Ballantyne.

 

Their case has been adjourned until September 15th.

 

Ballantyne was fatally stabbed in Grandmother’s Bay on July 19th.

 

A 19-year-old man was also charged with second degree murder following Ballantyne’s death.

 

He will be in court October 1st for his preliminary hearing.
