PBCN Urban Members Get Chance to Voice Concerns

Questions and concerns urban members of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation have about the band’s operation will be addressed today at a meeting in Prince Albert.

Chief Ron Michel and Councillor George Michel will deliver opening remarks before the floor is opened up to a number of presentations about economic development and social services.

After that, an opportunity will be given to band members to talk about issues concerning them.

It was only a month back that an urban band member held a demonstration outside the band’s administration office in P.A. protesting the construction of a tobacco store on the reserve.

His concern centred around the amount of money the business would be delivering to urban band members.
