Urban members of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation assembled in the gymnasium of the Prince Albert Indian Education Centre last night. They were there to hear from Chief Ron Michel and his brother George, who is also the councillor representing PBCN members living off-reserve. The two were joined by a number of other officials who talked about recent developments in economic development, treaty land entitlement, health and other issues. Reporters however were not allowed to talk to the presenters or actually attend the gathering. Assistant to the Chief Randy Clark, says Ron Michel will have more to say when the entire round of meetings are complete in a few weeks time.
