Federal Indian Affairs Minister Robert Nault is in our province today.

Nault will be signing over a parcel of land that will officially increase the size of the Onion Lake First Nation to three times its original size.

The land was acquired under the band’s treaty land entitlement.

Currently the Onion Lake First Nation has acquired 90-thousand of the 108-thousand acres necessary in its TLE package.

Today’s ceremony, which will also celebrate last week’s multi-million dollar oil and gas venture, gets underway at 2:00 at the Onion Lake Memorial Communiplex.
