Northern Tourism Rep Targets Alberta

A newly hired marketing manager with Northern Saskatchewan Tourism says Alberta is a resource that must be tapped more fully.

Long-time radio announcer Ken Landers took over the duties as head marketing officer last week and has settled into a new office in Prince Albert.

He says the primary goal of his job is fairly clear — get people to visit the North.

Landers says the challenge is to make sure as many as possible are coming in from outside the province.

He points out that Saskatchewan is a destination for many American hunters and vacationers, and he would like to see Alberta residents frequent Northern Saskatchewan, as well.
