More Northern Municipalities Hold Elections

Another round of municipal elections is taking place today in Northern Saskatchewan.

Last Wednesday, 5 communities, including Pinehouse and Cole Bay, had their elections.

Today, 8 more northern municipalities are scheduled to hold voting, including Green Lake, Denare Beach and St. George’s Hill.

Most of the municipal elections in the North are scheduled for late October like the rest of Saskatchewan, but the provincial government allows northern communities some flexibility with their election dates to accommodate traditional land users, such as trappers.
