The two boys from Grandmother’s Bay accused of murdering a man in the community earlier this summer were back in court yesterday.

The two boys, aged 15 and 16, were charged with second degree murder following the stabbing death of 24-year-old Michael C. Ballantyne, whose body was found in a street in Grandmother’s Bay on July 19th.

The two boys were in court yesterday for their show cause hearing, but their legal counsel requested more time and the hearing was adjourned to October 3rd.

A 19-year-old man also charged with second degree murder in connection to Ballantyne’s death is scheduled to be in court October 1st for his preliminary hearing.
