Disability issues are the focus of a conference in La Ronge over the next two days.

The Gary Tinker Federation is playing host to a Disabilities Conference.

The federation is an advocate for the rights of disabled people in Northern Saskatchewan. It’s also been instrumental in connecting the disabled in the North with training and employment opportunties.

The federation has brought in experts from across North America to talk about issues like learning disabilties and how to recognize them, and the Saskatchewan Disability Action Plan.

This weekend’s gathering is primarily geared towards people with a disability, service providers and agencies that work with people with a disability.
