Hearing set for accused in August 22nd P.A. murder

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Prince Albert man accused of killing a former resident of Pelican Narrows.

Forty-eight year John Buesnel stood quietly in court Wednesday while defense lawyers and crown

prosecutors decided how to proceed with his case.

It was on August 22nd of this year that an altercation allegedly took place between Buesnel and forty-four year-old Vincent Ballantyne in a West Flat home.

Police have determined that Ballantyne died from a blunt-force wound to the head and that a baseball bat was likely the weapon.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 17th.
