The Saskatchewan Party has officially declared its candidate in the Cumberland riding for the next provincial election.

Cumberland House resident Winston McKay was chosen as the party’s candidate at a nomination meeting in La Ronge last night.

McKay ran for the Liberals in the last provincial election, and finished well back of current MLA Keith Goulet.

The Liberals have yet to announce their candidate for the Cumberland riding.

The NDP has already selected Joan Beatty as its candidate. She takes over from Goulet, who’s stepping down.
