Premier Lorne Calvert says he’s confident northern voters will support his party come election time.

The NDP leader is currently on his “Dialogue with Saskatchewan” bus tour, which made a stop in Prince Albert today.

The premier admits his tour won’t include any areas north of Nipawin, but notes he and several cabinet ministers have made several trips to the North over the last year.

Calvert says the NDP has built strong ties with many aboriginal communities through social and economic development.

He also claims northern roads are improving, along with the rest of Saskatchewan’s highways.
