A band member from the Ahtakakoop First Nation says she’s looking forward to seeing more of Canada.

Nineteen year-old Bonnie Masuskapoe was recently accepted into the Katimavik Youth Program for 2003-2004.

Katimavik is a government initiative which selects ten young people from across the country and allows them to meet and travel to other provinces over a nine-month period.

Masuskapoe says she looking forward to the opportunities the trip has to offer but will definitely miss her family.

The recent high-school graduate departs on the twenty-third of September for a three-month stay in Quebec City. After that it’s off to Burnaby B.C. and Saddle Lake Alberta.
