Accused in Grandmother’s Bay Murder Back in Court

The three young males from Grandmother’s Bay accused of murdering a man from the community last month made a court appearance in La Ronge yesterday.

 

All have been remanded in custody until their next court appearances.

 

The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear in court again in La Ronge on October 1st for his preliminary hearing.

 

The two boys, aged 15 and 16, will make their next court appearance in La Ronge on September 2nd.

 

The three were charged with second degree murder following the stabbing death of 24-year-old Michael C. Ballantyne.

 

Ballantyne’s body was discovered on a street in Grandmother’s Bay the afternoon of July 19th.
