RCMP officers have seized a car they suspect played a role in Troy Napope’s murder.

Napope went missing at the end of May. He was last seen driving a grey car, leaving a house party in Prince Albert. That car was later found burnt on a road just northwest of the city.

Late last month, the RCMP upgraded his case from a missing person file to a homicide investigation. Now they’ve identified and seized a white 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

The announcement comes only days after Napope’s sister and a friend made a public plea for answers in his case.

The RCMP is now looking for more information on that Monte Carlo from people who may have seen it on May 27 or 28 in or around Prince Albert.

Napope’s body has still not been found, and the RCMP is still taking in tips on the 2004 grey, four-door Pontiac Grand Prix he’d been driving from that party before it was found on Whitfield Road outside the city.
