A Muskoday First Nation man who is up on six separate charges in the death of an 11-year-old boy has been released on bail.

Fifty-one-year-old Gordon Morris Crain appeared in Prince Albert provincial court on Wednesday afternoon and was released with conditions.

Crain is charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving causing death and four other charges.

The charges are the result of a vehicle and bicycle collision that occurred on Hwy 3 near the Muskoday bridge on July 26.

The boy was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Crain is also charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

He is due back in court on Aug. 27.
