UPDATE – RCMP say 25-year-old Charlie Charles has been taken into custody.

Charles was arrested Tuesday in Prince Albert.

He is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement in the December 2019 death of Sheena Billette of La Ronge.

Charles is due in La Ronge Provincial Court Thursday morning.


UPDATE – RCMP say they have arrested the fourth suspect in the homicide of Sheena Billette of La Ronge.

The 28-year-old woman’s body was found on the highway north of La Ronge on Dec. 23.

Police say Kandi Ratt was located in Christopher Lake on Saturday.

She is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Police are still looking for a fifth suspect, Charlie Charles, who is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

Charles is described as 5′ 9″ tall, 119 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

RCMP say he is missing his left index finger and left baby finger which may be bandaged.

UPDATE – RCMP have charged five people in the death of a woman whose body was found on a highway north of La Ronge last month.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sheena Marie Billette was found on Highway 102, seven kilometres north of La Ronge, on Dec. 23.

Police have arrested 25-year-old Charlie Napthalie Charles, 30-year-old Deborah Maggie McKenzie, 24-year-old Telsa Jane McKenzie, and 24-year-old Sharise Justice Sutherland-Kayseas.

The four are charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

Twenty-eight-year-old Kandi Rose Ratt is also charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

RCMP say Charles and Ratt are still at large and considered dangerous.
