An 81-year-old First Nations elder who went missing over the weekend has been found alive and well.
RCMP spokesman Corporal Kelly Guider says Gilbert Star’s family reported him missing to the File Hills Police Service on Saturday after not hearing from him the previous day.
The Starblanket man was eventually found at around 8 p.m. Saturday in a rural area near Lipton by a local resident, who was out on his quad.
The RCMP say Star’s truck had become stuck.
Star was not injured, but was taken to the local hospital to be checked over.
