Missinipi Youth Foundation Scholarship Awards Recipients Announced
The Missinipi Youth Foundation (MYF) Scholarship Selection Committee is pleased to announce the seven scholarship recipients for the 2009-2010 academic year. The MYF scholarships program is designed to support and encourage Aboriginal or Metis youth to undertake post secondary educational opportunities in all aspects of media skills and electronic media communications.

“The Missinipi Youth Foundation is very proud to partner with MBC (Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation) in this scholarship program. On behalf of the Board of Directors we wish the scholarship recipients every success in their educational endeavours”.

Ntawnis Piapot of Piapot Cree Nation has been awarded $1,500.00. Ntawnis is enrolled in her third year of the Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program and Intercultural Leadership Program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.

Josh McCann of La Ronge has been awarded $1,500.00; Josh is in his second year of the New Media Communications at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.a.

Belinda Nelson
of Ahtahkakoop First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Belinda is in her first year of the New Media Communications Program at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.


Desarae Eashappie of Carry the Kettle First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Desarae enrolled in her second year of the Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina..


Miranda Hanus of Standing Buffalo First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Miranda in is her third year and enrolled in the Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.


Joel Kowbel of Prince Albert has been awarded $1,000.00. Joel is in his second year of the Media Arts Production Program at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.

Kelly Ermine
of Sturgeon Lake First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Kelly is in her second year of the Media Arts Production Program at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.
