Missinipi Youth Foundation Scholarship Awards Recipients Announced
The Missinipi Scholarship Selection Committee is pleased to announce the seven scholarship recipients for the 2008-2009 academic year. The MBC/MYF scholarships program is designed to support and encourage northern youth to undertake post secondary educational opportunities in all aspects of media skills and electronic media communications.

“The Missinipi Youth Foundation is very proud to partner with MBC (Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation) in this scholarship program. On behalf of the Board of Directors we wish the scholarship recipients every success in their educational endeavours”.

Ntawnis Piapot of Piapot Cree Nation has been awarded $1,500.00. Ntawnis is enrolled in her third year of the Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.	Cassandra Opikokew of Canoe Lake First Nation has been awarded $1,500.00. Cassandra is in her fourth year of study towards a degree in Journalism at University of Regina.
Cheyenne Gervais of Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Cheyenne is in his second year of the Media Arts Production Program at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.	Danna Henderson of Pasqua First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Danna is enrolled in her fourth year of the Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.
Melissa Seaton of Whitebear First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00, Melissa is in her first year of New Media Communications at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.	Stewart Manhas of Ochapowace First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Stewart is enrolled in his second year at the University of Regina in the B.A. program, majoring in English and Indian Communications Arts (INCA) program at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.
Melissa Jim of Witchekan Lake First Nation has been awarded $1,000.00. Melissa is in her second year of the Media Arts Production Program at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert.
