MBC believes in the potential of Aboriginal Youth


Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation is committed to training future generations of broadcasters. Every year MBC provides scholarship opportunities to aspiring Aboriginal communicators. The MBC scholarships program is designed to support and encourage northern youth to undertake post secondary educational opportunities in all aspects of media skills and electronic media communications.
      • Five $1000.00 scholarships and two $1500.00 scholarships presented annually

MBC's Youth Initiatives
      • - The House Party - 1am - 4am on MBC Radio each Friday night (or Saturday morning) Playing your favorite hip-hop, dance, techno, rap and alternative music.
      • - Sponsorship of creative workshops and activities at the South Bay Youth Wellness Gatherings, at Ile-a-la Crosse, SK.
      • - Support of the Northern Spirits workshop for aspiring young performers in 2007 and 2008.
      • - W.R.A.P. "Write a Rap on Aboriginal Potential" contest lauched in 2008
