| Arrest Made After Man Threatens To Shoot Woman During 911 Call |

A 52-year-old man is facing numerous charges after a standoff in a rural area near Meadow Lake. RCMP were called out Saturday evening after a threatening 911 call was received. According to police, the male caller first stated there was someone dead in his home. He then told police the person wasn't dead, but that he was going to get a gun and shoot the individual. Police say a woman in the home managed to escape, but a man remained inside. RCMP surrounded the house, and after about two hours, he came out and was arrested. Police say they found a number of firearms in the home. The charges include uttering threats, assault and careless storage of a firearm. |
